Description
From the early 1980s through the turn of the century, Barbara Bloemink served as one of the first and few women museum art directors in the country. Meanwhile the art world changed from a quiet, relatively small arts and culture-based entity to a hugely newsworthy, financial asset-based commodity. Navigating these waters through five museums, from a small regional one to a Guggenheim and Smithsonian, Barbara tells stories from the sublime to the ridiculous.
