Bassist James Hunter recently completed interning with pianist Emery Smith studying expected bass lines. With P, B, & J, on Sundays keeping Jazz music alive. You can hear him in the bass section of the Eastern Connecticut Symphony performances, Madry Temple Band on Sunday mornings and with the JHunter Group. He taught in Groton, New London, and New Haven public schools.

Bassist James Hunter retired from public school music teaching in 2017. He started the JHunter Group help keep Jazz music going and to perform his creations. James is a member of the Eastern Connecticut Symphony and teaches at the String Theory Music School and for the Music City Strings satellite of the New London Community Orchestra.
