Wilder Gardens
Jim Natale, owner of WilderGardensLLC in Groton, will share how he gardens for year-round color while reducing maintenance and providing for pollinators and other wildlife in this hour-long program at Bill Memorial Library on Saturday, February 8, at 1 PM.
While working for various landscaping companies, Natale discovered that most common landscaping practices reduce biodiversity while increasing cost, maintenance and damage to the environment. In his own business, he emulates natural environments – like meadows, grasslands and forests – to create beautiful gardens and landscapes that are easy to maintain and increase biodiversity while capturing carbon and reducing runoff. He does this without the use of pesticides, herbicides or artificial fertilizers.
The program is free, but attendance is limited and registration is required. Follow this link: http://engagedpatrons.org/EventsExtended.cfm?SiteID=8328&EventID=548367
