Gallery One CT Presents “Artful Alchemy” Exhibition

The artists of Gallery One are pleased to present the Artful Alchemy exhibition celebrating the fusion of styles, techniques, and artistic traditions. Each artist channels their inner alchemist, blending materials, experiences, and ideas to create rich visual narratives. Join the artists for the opening reception on Friday, May 9 from 5pm to 7pm.

Exhibiting artists include: Rosemary Cotnoir (Westbrook), Victor Filepp (New London), Karen Israel (West Hartford), Michael Fanelli (Clinton), Ann Knickerbocker (Old Saybrook), Brian McClear (West Hartford), T. Willie Raney (Ivoryton), Diana Rogers (Clinton), Rick Silberberg (Ivoryton), and Jill Vaughn (Ivoryton).

“Artists are like modern-day alchemists, transforming diverse materials and emotions into works that are beautiful, innovative and thought-provoking,” said Michael Fanelli.

“Each stroke of paint and color interacts and mingles, and that is the alchemy that brings a painting to life,” said Diana Rogers. “Using pure pigments and color is ideal for honoring nature and the vibrant hues of life along the shoreline.”

The exhibit is on view May 9 through July 2 at the La Grua Center located at 32 Water Street in Stonington, CT. The opening reception is Friday, May 9 from 5pm to 7pm and is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday from 1pm to 4pm and other times by appointment through La Grua Center at 860-535-2300.
